Navigating life’s most beautiful moments with a dog. Poppy Laurel + Kennedy are a team in Northeast Indiana who are passionate about sharing poodles and the goodness of dogs through adventures.
Our Story
Adorns Blue Popstar, call name Poppy, was dreamt of and prayed for before she landed in our arms.
Kennedy fell in love with our friend’s poodles years ago. Our breeder came recommended and we were waiting. When our breeder, Adorn Poodles, had a litter when times had changed in our house, I asked my husband if I could have one IF there was a female left and IF it was blue.
Well, the litter was born on July 10, the same day as my twin-sister’s son AND they were blue. One call later, and we signed our pet contract with deposit. ’
Named after my Pappy, Laurel (Butch) Keister, and my favorite happy Troll, Poppy Laurel was named for at least three years before I knew she would exist.
Poppy came to Indiana via airplane on Sept. 17, 2023. We were honored to fly home with Poppy and another littermate who lives in Indiana, too.
She’s been my main girl since. When Popstar joined us, I had my toy yorkie, Clara, and an adopted yellow-lab, Tilly.
In our house, we don’t care if they’re adopted or bought, we just want them used. A good dog is a dog who enjoys their life and spends enough time in enrichment and training.
I started Poppy in training and then life continued to happen and with each change, she became my whole identity.
